About us

The Inspiration Hub was founded on a simple yet powerful mission: to provide flexible freelance support to small-to-medium sized businesses (SMEs) across critical functions essential to daily business operations, growth and sustainability - administraiton support, marketing, human resources and strategy.
 
At the heart of The Inspiration Hub is our Director and Founder, Jane Gentle. A seasoned business leader with over 20 years of diverse experience spanning industries such as retail, services, aesthetics, hospitality, education, travel, government and not-for-profit sectors. This extensive background provides a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the multifaceted challenges businesses face. From operational and strategic management to corporate governance, human resources, marketing, website development and administration, business development, end to end event management and key stakeholder relations, our founder has a proven track record of business management success, both domestically and internationally.
 
This practical expertise is complemented by a passion for mentorship. Having successfully founded and operated a business, culminating in its sale as a franchise-ready operation, our founder gained invaluable hands-on experience in establishing robust operational frameworks, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. This entrepreneurial journey solidified a deep understanding of what it takes to build and scale a sustainable business. 
 
Following this success, a period of postgraduate study and teaching Services Marketing and Tourism Marketing to undergraduate students further honed the ability to translate complex business concepts into practical, actionable strategies.
 
Further experience as Project Manager and then General Manager at an International not-for-profit organisation specialising in quality assurance in higher education provided a valuable international business experience. Engaging with institutions, industry partners, and government agencies across Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, our founder gained a nuanced understanding of cross-cultural collaboration and the evolving global landscape of education and commerce.
 
This expertise is underpinned by a strong academic foundation, including a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, a Master of Business (Marketing), and a Bachelor of Business with Honours.  Furthermore, a commitment to continuous professional development is evidenced by certifications such as UN Women Training Centre Diversity and Inclusion Training, Building Cultural Intelligence from RMIT, and Governance Institute of Australia training in Governance Essentials and Financial Analysis for Officers and Directors.  Professional affiliations include recognition as a Member of the Australian Human Resource Institute (MAHRI) and Associate Governance Institute of Australia.
 
For the past four years, the focus has been dedicated to working directly with small businesses, providing hands-on support in operations, marketing, human resource management and building stakeholder relationships, creating essential policies and procedures, and developing strategic business plans to drive efficiency and growth.
